The District of North Vancouver is vulnerable to many climate-related risks (e.g., intense rainfall, flooding, sea level rise, wildfire, wildfire smoke, and extreme heat events). How will you address these risks to increase our community’s resilience?
Replace aging infrastructure with larger pipes/storm sewers/stop building on floodplain/keep more permeable surfaces/keep & increase our tree canopy for shade/remove dead undergrowth in parkland/forests/have buildings fitted to serve a cooling centers
